仙台市消防局では、市民からの119番通報に対応し、市民の命と暮らしを守っています。消防局指令課では、2021年12月に、外国人住民からの通報にも適切に対応できるように、「外国人住民による119番通報対応訓練」を実施しました。SenTIAと外国人ボランティアが研修に協力し、「やさしい日本語」でのコミュニケーションを学ぶとともに、外国人対応のシミュレーション訓練を行いました。今回は、その研修の様子や、参加した職員の声をお届けします。

Sendai City Fire Bureau. Their response to emergency calls to 119 keeps citizens safe, and saves their lives and livelihoods. In December 2021, the Fire bureau’s Command Section held a training session for tending to calls from foreign nationals, to learn how they can give an appropriate response should such a situation arise. SenTIA along with foreign national volunteers, cooperated in the training where participants learned about Easy Japanese and participated a simulation for responding to foreign nationals. In this video we’d like to pass on the thoughts of the fire bureau staff on the training session.
